Help 2,000 needy children continue their education in Lebanon

Help 2,000 children in Lebanon meet the costs of returning to school so they can continue their education.

Like all of us, they also have dreams for a bright future. You can help 2,000 children return to school.

In Lebanon, children’s education is at risk.

In Lebanon, many children wander the streets unattended. Some of them dig through garbage containers looking for food. Others try to sell flowers or clean the shoes of passersby for money.

More than 700,000 kids are at risk of never returning to a classroom due to rising poverty.

The economic crash in Lebanon has impacted all sectors of society. Children are suffering the consequences of one of the worst crises in history in different ways, and for many, their education is seriously at risk. According to UNICEF, 15% of families in Lebanon have stopped their children’s education. One in 10 children has been sent to work while Lebanese society witnesses an increase in child marriage among younger girls.

In Lebanon, public schools are grossly underfunded, and the private sector is assumed to be the primary education provider. Private schools are seen as necessities, not luxuries, yet as parents fail to meet tuition costs, schools are scrambling to remain open.

How do you retain teachers – educated professionals with opportunities to emigrate – without livable salaries? If private educational institutions fail, Lebanon’s entire educational structure will collapse.

How can you help children in Lebanon?

There are many ways you can help create change that lasts a lifetime for children in Lebanon.

You can contribute by supporting Al-Iman schools.

Through this project, Mission Relief aims to:

  • Support students financially with 50% of their tuition fees to prevent dropouts
  • Allow schools to preserve jobs and stay open

Please donate to help the many underprivileged children looking for a helping hand to pull them out of the vicious cycle of poverty and make a difference in their lives today!
